To level up, players need to get experience points. When a player levels up, they will get a certain amount of Coins & Minerals* as well as galaxy chips every 10 levels starting for Level 100 as a reward depending on the level you've reached (A full summary of exactly how many resources you get for each level can be found below). The highest level theoretically possible in Galaxy Life currently is 830, it would take you 36 years to reach this level if you destroyed a fully maxed out sb 9 planet every 10 minutes! To get experience points, you can attack other people and destroy their things, or upgrade buildings on your planets.

  • You stop getting minerals for lvling up after lvl 300

Getting Experience Points[]

  • Don't forget to check How Scoring System Works? on Community FAQ page.
  • Building and Upgrading walls are a good source of experience points. However, this is a bad way to level up, as its a huge waste of money, and leveling up and having a horrible base is not beneficial.
  • Upgrading buildings that take a long time to complete (get friends to click on your buildings to speed them up)
  • Attacking other players, and destroying buildings on their planets. Be sure to make the most of every attack, because if you destroy 50% or more, that player will get a Colony Shield. Attacking from colonies will reveal their locations, so you might get attacked back. Attacking Firebit is a good way to get experience. The best way to get experience is in alliance wars, because you will get both experience and war points (which you can use to unlock super-upgrades for your units).
  • The Star Base gives the most XP out of all other buildings.
  • The best way to earn XP in attacks during mid-game is to destroy Military Buildings & Warp Gates. Later on turrets contain the majority of the XP.

Experience needed to rise by level (and protection chart)[]

LEvel

The error you get when trying to attack a weaker player

The level protection system comes into effect once a player decides to begin attacking other planets for resources and XP. However, once you advance up to higher levels there comes a point where you need to attack someone of your same level or in your level range. As the starlings put it themselves: "You need a better challenge."

As seen in the chart below, the higher you excel through the levels there forms a minimum level which you can attack. Although there is a minimum level a player can attack, it's not the same for the reverse; a player of any level can advance against a colony higher then them. Additionally the level protection does not apply if the planet you're trying to attack is the same or higher starbase level than the planet you're attacking from. After being attacked by a lower level though you are allowed to have revenge. E.g. A level 450 gets attacked by a level 70, the level 70 is now vulnerable to attack from the level 450- So watch who you attack!!!

WARNING: If you are part of an alliance that is at war with another alliance, the level restrictions for attacking are TURNED OFF against the enemy alliance! This means that someone hundreds of levels above you could attack you if they so chose (which they often do). Beware of this before joining a combat-focused alliance!
